serious Grub2 problem, symbol grub_env_export not found

instead of normal grub menu I am greeted with an:
symbol "grub_env_export" not found
on debian_amd64 latest testing.
seriously, can it get any worse? every time I do Update something breaks

I found solution on ubuntu forum ( sudo grub-install /dev/sdX )

still, this is very frustrating.
