security updates for testing branch
I remember that this was discussed a while ago but I do not remember what had been decided. Is there currently a security team for the testing branch? I googled but http://secure-testing-master.debian.net seems offline.
If not, what is the normal delay it takes for security updates to move from unstable to testing?

Add the following to your sources.list
# Testing Security Updates
# For more info visit: http://secure-testing.debian.net/
#deb http://security.debian.org testing/updates main contrib non-free
#deb-src http://security.debian.org testing/updates main contrib non-free
Personally I prefer to sitck with Sid, by the time a security bulletin has been issued the problem is usually already been fixed.

And is this working well, I mean well enough to run a desktop where especially security updates to Firefox, Thunderbird, Openoffice and generally desktop-oriented software are critical?

Firefox updates usually hit Sid within a day or two of offical Mozilla releases, Thunderbird seems to take about a week, OO is always getting updated.
I have never seen a security bulletin that wasn't updated in Sid either already or within a day of the Debian security warning about updating.
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.0.6) Gecko/20060728 Firefox/1.5.0.6 (Debian-1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.6-4)
OO is 2.0.3-4
I dont use Thunderbird, but it is 1.5.0.5 (20060812)

But sid is not testing - how long does it take to reach testing?
