Second CPU not showing in hardware monitor

Hi,

I've just installed Debian 3.1 on an old HP Kayak XM600 with Dual P!!! 667Mhz CPUs. When using FC4 both CPUs show up in the hardware monitor and both have a little graph of performance. In Debian, only one shows up.

Anyone know why this is and how I can check that both are being used?

Thanks,
Richard

I will go with you not having a dual processor kernel installed so only one is used. Try this look at the output of uname -r if you do not see SMP in it then use apt-cache search kernel image SMP then use apt-get install kernel-image-closest_match_to_kernel_you_are_running-SMP.
