Script to measure time required to access a file (700 MB) over HTTP using Ngnix web server.

Hello Guys,

I am looking forward to measure a time required to access <500 MB file over HTTP with two parallel request form the host. The benchmark script receives as input the IP of the container/VM that
executes the target Nginx server.

Can someone please help me out? Much appreciated.

Regards
Sara

We'll be glad to help you. But the first thing you need to do is read the "Question Guidelines" link in my posting signature. We are NOT going to write scripts for you, and when asking a question you need to provide details. You tell us nothing about what version/distro of Linux, version of nginx, or what you've done/tried so far.

Post your script(s) and tell us where you're stuck, and we'll be happy to assist. Until then, there's not much we can tell you.

The command
Code:
date +%s
displays the time in seconds since 1970. Run it before and after the file access and form the difference.

If you need higher resolution than seconds, it seems that %N adds nanoseconds.
