scanner working with knoppix

I am trying to make the scanner works in knoppix. I have try 2 models manufacture by mustek : bearpaw 2448Ta Plus and musteck 1248UB . Both also usb port...

The xscanimage cant detect the scanner but in the info centre I can see the usb scanner devices. I have went to SANE and the scanner list shown that both model cant work in KNOPPIX.

Maybe I need to do more configuration. Can someone please help me on this matter.

Thanks in advance

Run:

# sane-find-scanner

does it show your scanner?

If so, try running the xscanimage command again.

Can't you use xsane or kooka?

nope, when I used the scan-find-scanner command , message error command not found.

When I used xscanimage then no scanner were identified but in info center under the USB info, I can see the usb scanner.

Even , kooka cant detect the scanner. Do you know any scanner model that works with knoppix?

thanks in advance

Do you mean , just plug-in the scanner and it can detect the scanner?

Do we need to compile or do some configuration? And what model of scanner that really support KNOPPIX distribution?

Thanks in advance.
