Sarge Installer RC1


Whenever I get to installing the base system it goes until the kernel part.. Then it comes up with a cannot find kernel message.. Anyone else have this problem? This is on a pc.

I installed last night using the 2.6.7 kernel (boot the cd with "linux26") and didn't have any problems. I didn't try the default kernel.

Ive used 5 cds so far just trying to get it to work.. All the isos ive downloaded have had the correct md5sums..

If you have a fast internet connection you might want to try the debian installers minicd (50mb or so). It will download everything from the internet, and present you a list of different kernel images to choose from. That way you can try out different kernels and see what works.

The 2.6.7 kernel image works perfectly for me.

I upgraded nero.. I guess nero was old and corrupting the cds..
