Question Sarge Installation

I'm new to Linux and trying to set it up on an available desktop.

The desktop is a Dell Precision 350 Workstation.

From what I had read, the new Sarge installation was supposed to be pretty slick, but after booting from CD 1 and choosing to install, the first screen where a language is selected is locked up - all the keyboard activity in the world will not result in anything.

I've gone to Dell's website and found nothing and I've searched the Debian website to no avail... any suggestions?

Thank you very much!!

My BIOS had a similar configuration parameter and when I changed it I was off and running.
