Sarge, DVD+R, Samsung SD-616F

Hi ALl,

I just used jigdo and got made the two DVD's for Sarge. Well I tried to boot them on a machine with a Samsung SD-616F DVD-ROM and nothing happens. I did some searching and found that the SD-616F is DVD+R compatible. So I tried booting the same machine into my gentoo install and doing a:

mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
and I got:
mount: No medium found

I then put the DVD into the machine that burned it and rebooted... I got the nice little debian welcome screen.

What do you all think? The SD-616F might not really be DVD+R compatible? or could it be something else? It is a pretty old machine I am trying to install it on (Dual PII 400's on an Asus P2B-DS Motherboard)

Thanks for any input you might have.

P.S. - I have done some obvious things like checked my BIOS and that is set to boot from CD. I have also mounted CD-R's sucessfully.
