Lightbulb I did this too (I did the splash screen for lilo too)

Made it!!

umask=000 helped me !!!

Thanks ADZ!!!

my fstab now (still a mess but all the vfat lines work):

Code:

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system>	<mount point>	<type>	<options> <dump>	<pass>
/dev/hda1	/ ext3	errors=remount-ro	0	1
/dev/hda5	/home ext3	errors=remount-ro	0	1
/dev/hda9	none swap	sw 0	0
proc /proc proc	defaults 0	0
/dev/fd0	/mnt/floppy	auto	user,noauto 0	0
/dev/cdrom	/mnt/cdrom	iso9660	ro,user,noauto,noexec 0	0
/dev/cdrom1	/mnt/cdrom1	iso9660	ro,user,noauto,noexec 0	0
#/dev/hda6	/mnt/movie	vfat	user,auto,noexec 0	0
#/dev/hda7	/mnt/data	vfat	user,auto,noexec 0	0
#/dev/hda8	/mnt/kits	vfat	user,auto,noexec 0	0
/dev/hda6	/mnt/movie	vfat	umask=000,noexec,auto,user,gid=users 0	0
/dev/hda7	/mnt/data	vfat	gid=users,auto,user,umask=000 0	0
/dev/hda8	/mnt/kits	vfat	gid=users,umask=000,nosuid,auto,user 0	0
I guess now I will have to make some order there, like gid=vfatusr.

Still the noexec option has no effect

Anyway, for people that will this kind of thing too, good luck
