samba share

On my server I got a couple of shares. Reaching and editing the files using konqueror works just fine but playing a mp3 on the share either fails or the song gets downloaded first.
If I mount the share using smb4k I can play the songs on the shares without downloading them fist (using amarok). I then kinda works like wmp accessing the same share from a win box.
Should I make a mount of the share in fstab or is setting up a mp3 server a better way to go?

Regards

Seen many post just like this on playing wavs and mounting different ways. Some will play others will download instead. Might search for back post similiar to see what works and doesn't.
