[SOLVED] Samba - Problem viewing directories on Buffalo 1TB disc

[I ask mods to delete this thread, no one is giving answears so I made the same in Network section]

Hello everyone I'm zdun and this is my first post in here;]

I have got the same problem as in this thread but I'm using debian so i posted a new topic: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...s+not+exist%3A

1. I can't access to the samba shared hard drive connected to the asus wl500g router on linux -> message "File does not exits:" no folders, everything seems corrupted.
2. On Windows XP machine everything works fine.

I can't figure out how was it solved? I'm using Debian Lenny kernel: 2.6.26-2-686.

Could you please tell me exactly what to do to solve this problem. Is the kernel too old? If yes which version should I install?

Regards
zdun

What filesystem is on the hard-drive? Is it NTFS?
Check the filesystem is supported by your kernel by making sure it's listed in here:
Code:
cat /proc/filesystems

The filesystem on the hard drive is vfat or fat32. And it is not listed in the /proc/filesystems file..(and you're great;]). How can I install support for it? The only package which is somehow connected to the vfat is "dostools" should I install it?
