Restoring original i810_audio.o

I've managed to screw up the original i810_audio.o that came with woody. It turns out that I need this to run my sound properly. Is there a way to get hold of the original i810_audio.o file so that I can insmod it?

The original i810_audio.o is in your kernel-image -package. You can retrieve the debian package containing it (without installing the package) by a command "apt-get --reinstall --download-only install kernel-image-XXXX" (where XXXX is the version you have installed.).

Now you can extract the contents of the package with command (as a normal user)
"dpkg -x /var/cache/apt/archives/kernel-image-*.deb ~/tmpdir/". Now you have a copy of the original kernel-image (and the modules) in your home directory under tmpdir.
