REQ: Solution to sporatic audio in latest debian distro.

I have sporatic audio at best after installing the latest debian distro. Is there a simple way to correct this?

What is sporadic? Alternating between periods of sound and no sound? Higher and lower volume? Clear and distorted?
What sound card do you have?
Latest Debian is Stable, Testing or Unstable?

It's alternating between periods of sound and no sound?

Without more information, my first guess is the problem lies either with: worn speakers or a loose wire connection, or if you have external speakers, a loose connection with either the USB plug or speaker wires. Perhaps even a rusted USB port. That is because if the audio is working sometimes, there appears to be nothing wrong with your software. But as I mentioned, without information it is my best guess.

It's fixed. Thanks.

You really need to give more information.

If you do not want to give information needed to help find a solution you could at least tell folks how you got it solved.

People with similar problems use the forum search function to find if it has been solved by others.

The information on what you did could be of great value to those folks if you were generous enough to grant them the privelege of knowing it.

Marking the thread solved would also be considerate.
