Question Remove old MySQL Client lib?

I installed MySQL 5 and MySQL-Client 5 from the dotdeb packages.

The Problem is, Debian is still using the MySQL Client 4.1.15. (Found out via mysql_get_client_info(); in PHP) I'd like to use 5.x.

ii libmysqlclient 3.23.56-3 LGPL-licensed client library for MySQL datab

ii mysql-common 5.0.22-1.dotde mysql database common files (e.g. /etc/mysql
ii mysql-network 4.0.18-1.inter mysql network package to enable tcp server.
ii mysql-server 5.0.22-1.dotde mysql database server (current version)

ii postfix-mysql 2.1.5-9 MYSQL map support for Postfix
ii proftpd-mysql 1.2.10-15sarge Versatile, virtual-hosting FTP daemon
Could anyone tell me how I get rid of this 3.x and 4.x stuff so I'm just using the 5.0.22 client lib?

Thanks a lot!
