Reinstalling KDE ?

My pc has KDE 3.4 installed on it. It is totally bugged after I updated with testing/unstable packages.

Will apt-get remove x-window-core and apt-get install x-window-core will solve my problem ? I am running Debian Sarge on my pc.

Any suggestions or advise will be greately appreciated.

I don't use debian, but it seems this would reinstall your xserver, which will not solve your problem. How about:

# apt-get remove kde
# apt-get install kde

The packages may have different names...

That will only remove and reinstall a single meta-pkg, and will not touch the actual KDE packages. You will need to pin apt to a specific repository in order to downgrade that many builds.
