recovering deleting files

hello,

i'm attemping to recover deleted files using 'lsdel' in 'debugfs', and it's not returning any results. i have deleted multiple files this today.

zer0:~# /sbin/debugfs /dev/hda1
debugfs 1.36 (05-Feb-2005)
debugfs: lsdel

Inode Owner Mode Size Blocks Time deleted
0 deleted inodes found.

i've tried loading all partitions, same results. am i doing something wrong? please lmk you need more info.

if you used rm as root at a command line GOOD LUCK. rm is an evil tool if not used sparingly.
