Raspbian question

I have a question regarding Raspbian. My understanding is that
Raspbian is based on Debian but includes the missing firmware, which would make installation easier.
I have been reading about Raspberry pi, here.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raspberry_Pi
So I am wondering, will the Rasbian ISO work on any computer?
Is there a separate ISO with the proper kernal for this?
Is an active wired internet connection required or can I download the ISO, burn to disc and install straightway?
Thank you for looking.

What firmware do you need for your computer?

Raspian will not work on any computer. It is optimized for the Pi which uses an ARM and not a x86 or x86_64 type processor.

Yes you can... but through emulation, because of the reason above given...

Thank you,
The firmware I need for Debian is the firmware for my wifi connection as I don't have a wired internet connection. I do have a Debian 8, Jessie install CD, but without a wired connection I have never been able
to complete the install.

You can add non-free repositories or install from scratch with them already included.
