Raspberry Pi : X not working working right?

Howdy,
When I add a new user in Raspberry Pi 2 (Debain) I get the background and taskbar but no menu or items on the taask bar? I treid adding the same groups as the user "pi" to the new user?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you paste the output of these two commands:
Code:
groups pi
and

Code:
groups newuser
please replace newuser with the new user you created.

This is a little confusing? When I cut/paste from putty to this page, I get a error about the number of images?

What's with that?

I really have no idea. If you can't get the text to paste you can try pasting it to notepad first and then pasting it here. The idea behind the command is to compare the groups for the new user to the pi account. Also, did you add the new user to the sudoers file?

Are the groups for both accounts identical?
