questions concerning gnome 2.8

does anyone know if packages are being worked on allready?

been searching and no mention of the 2.8 release what-so-ever (that i could find anyways)

are/will packages be(ing) move(d) to experimental (soon), like with the 2.6 release?

since ubunto allready features the 2.8 packages, they must exist in some form, right? is it possible to just add their servers to sources.list and apt-get them from there, when you're using old/normal/whatever debian?

- Stefan
