Question about multi-head & alt-tab

I got my multihead system working so now I have two monitors that I can mouse between. However, if I alt-tab, I can only get to the windows in a single monitor. In other words, if I want to alt-tab to a console on a different screen, I have to first click the mouse in that screen. Is there a way to change that behavior? (This is also the behavior of alt-tabbing when you're using multiple desktops on one monitor - you can only get to the windows on the current desktop - how do you change that?)

I'm using Debian 3.1 with Gnome.

Thanks.

Solved it for multi-head. You have to use NVidia's twin-view rather than the more generic Xinerama. Still don't know why I can't alt-tab between workspaces like you can with KDE.
