Question Quake 3 Arena install


Im running Debian Etch and I am trying to install Quake 3 Arena..Ive found a couple tutorials on net and have tried to install put Im getting errors. When i run the point release it spits out a few errors....

The setup program seems to have failed on x86/glibc-2.1

The program returned an error code (1)

I have Ati fglrx drivers installed and can play Open Arena perfectly...anyone can tell me how to go about fixing this??thanks

well..there must have been something wrong with file from file front..i redownloaded it straight from idsoftware and it installed just fine..thanks for reply

That error usually means you are in root. By default Debian does not give X acess to root via su. You might install sux if that is something you want (or look for a better solution depending on the software.)
