Program similar to comanche?

I have installed Sarge as a fresh install with the 2.4.27-1-386 kernel. I have experience running Apache 1.2 but have had problems with trying to configure Apache 2.0. Does anyone know of a similar program to comanche or a comanche derivation? I have comanche running on a SuSe server and it reduced a lot of headaches. In trying Debian, I wanted to set up a similar install with mysql-php-apache1.2.

Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

That's both a joke and not. Config tools like that generally suck bigtime. I'd seriously recommend learning to write the configs yourself.

In the mean time, I believe webmin has a module for Apache ... *shivers*

Thank you for your answer

There seems to be a new version of every program and language once a week. I find configuration programs reduce typographical errors. Your suggestion of using webmin is a helpful one although you would recommend writing httpd.conf yourself. I plan to do continued reading to improving my coding abilities. I did try to write my own conf file in both 1.3 and 2.0 and the configuration was inconsistant for virtual hosting. Unless one lives a breathes computing, it is difficult to keep up-to-date on programming and hardware advancements. Using Debian on an old Compaq has made it run better than it has ever run before. So it is a benefit considering the original Windoze software crashed regularily. I will look for more of your posts.
