problem burning vcd with cdrdao...

hi,
I burnt a VCD on debian using cdrdao and eventhough I burnt it successfully, the picture was not continous. It plays for a moment and stops a while and plays again i.e the entire cd was burnt with short pauses in between.
When I burnt the same vcd (with same .bin, .cue files) on fedora , it was good and I don't see a single pause in between. Can anyone please help me figure out what's the problem? I am very much anxious and upset that I can't do the same thing properly on debian which I belive it to be no # 1 OS in my mind. I am sure that I am doing something wrong.

thanks in advance,
S

Hi,
I am using debain sarge. THe command I used to burn the vcd is " cdrdao write --device ATAPI:0,0,0 --driver generic-mmc --buffers 64 --speed 12 -n --overburn videocd.cue".

Hmm, I can't see anything wrong with your cmd line, and if it works in Fedora it should in Debian. Maybe try it with k3b or a lower speed?

hi,
I 've installed K3B and it was so nice. I burnt another VCD at 6X speed and it came really fantastic. I was wondering whether speed going to make that difference and I think K3B comes with a really nice GUI an other features.

thanks for the suggestion,
S
