Problem Booting
 
Hi there --

I am attempting to install Debian 3.1r2 onto an HP Visualize C3600 workstation. The initial installation appears to go well, but when I reboot the system, the boot process hangs. The last
line that appears on screen is the following:

sym0: no NVRAM, ID 7, Fast-40, SE, parity checking

Anyone have ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks.

From what I can ascertain, this is a bug relating to that kernel with SCSI adapters. I could not find the fix, but I noticed that you were trying to install a "rc2" release of Sarge. This is a long established stable distro. I would certainly obtain the official release.
