Question Printing in Debian?

OK - fresh Debian Etch install and I don't think I installed CUPS. I did a very bare install and just loaded Gnome. When I go to "Desktop > Adminsitration > Printing", I get an error that says the CUPS server could not be contacted.

I assume that is because I don't have CUPS on this machine what so ever. Our CUPS server is on the LAN but not my work/desktop machine so my confusion is what do I need and where do I start?

Here is the obvious I would search for but I don't know what I need to communicate with my CUPS server on the LAN.

Code:
cwilliams:/home/cwilliams# apt-cache search cups
apcupsd - APC UPS Power Management
apcupsd-cgi - Cgi for APC UPS Power Management
apcupsd-doc - Documentation for apcupsd
bluez-cups - Bluetooth printer driver for CUPS
cups-pdf - PDF printer for CUPS
cupsys - Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - server
cupsys-bsd - Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - BSD commands
cupsys-client - Common UNIX Printing System(tm) - client programs (SysV)
cupsys-driver-gimpprint - printer drivers for CUPS
cupsys-driver-gutenprint - printer drivers for CUPS
cupsys-pt - Tool for viewing/managing print jobs under CUPS

apt-get install cupsys cupsys-bsd cupsys-driver-gutenprint

if there are additional dependancies you need the system should prompt you to install them

then fire up your web browser and go to http://locvalhost:631 to add local or remote printers

That worked great and found all the printers on the CUPS server!

Thanks!
