Printer Driver HP Deskjet K209 Not available in Debian Lenny
Hi...
I want to install printer HP Deskjet k209 in Debian Lenny but i am unable to install because printer driver is not available in this distribution.. |
Hi,
I don't know this particular model, but did you take a look at the "hplip" package? It should contain anything needed to get most HP printers running fine with CUPS (as long as they do not support postscript natively, if they do, any special driver layer would be unnecessary) |

Install the hplip package from the backports.org repo. instructions [Debian Backports] http://www.backports.org/dokuwiki/do...d=instructions Package hplip * lenny (stable) (utils): HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP) 2.8.6.b-4: alpha amd64 arm armel hppa i386 ia64 mips mipsel powerpc s390 sparc * lenny-backports (utils): HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP) 3.10.2-1~bpo50+1 [backports]: alpha amd64 hppa i386 ia64 mips mipsel powerpc s390 sparc * squeeze (testing) (utils): HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP) 3.10.5-4: amd64 armel hppa i386 ia64 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 mips mipsel powerpc s390 sparc * sid (unstable) (utils): HP Linux Printing and Imaging System (HPLIP) 3.10.6-1: alpha amd64 armel hppa hurd-i386 i386 ia64 mips mipsel powerpc s390 sparc 3.10.5-4: kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 3.9.2-3 [debports]: m68k |
