portmap (pmap_dump) hangs, so that impossible to upgrade

Hya,

One of my penguins (Debian squeeze, on Toshiba laptop) chokes while upgrading portmap package.

Situation is:

Impossible to stop portmap deamon. (/sbin/pmap_dump does not return anything) This happened two days ago. (1 or 2 times/week upgrade, by aptitude)

I manually uninstall portmap files (including pmap_dump, also nfs-common package, due to dependency), and tried to install them again by aptitude. Then, portmap goes without trouble, but nfs daemon refused to start.

Other laptop with Athelos chip does not have problem. So, I guess madwifi is OK.

What can I do next?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Happy Penguins!
