plz unpack this deb package
 

hi

i wantto compile xfsprogs package which consists of XFS filesystem formatting utilities for ARM platform. Iam unable to cross compile them on my redhat system. But found precompiled debian packages on debian site. i dont have a debian system to unpack those ".deb" package.

this really isn't the way to go about it. i wouldn't be suprised if they didn't work anyway as they will probably be dynamically linked to versions of vinaries your box doesn't have. i think you need to look at why you can't compile it yourself... there must be a good reason surely?

Iam able to compile but not CROSS COMPILE. i mean i have the ARM toolchain with alltools -uclibc,arm-linux-gcc etc., but the configure script is taking my host pc x86 tools for compiling.

I will be glad if anyone can advice where to make changes.

Don't know what tools you use and I don't cross-compile, but can you give as an option to the compiler which tools it should use? The man-pages should be of help to you here :)
