pdf file long time to load?


My sys is p4 2.8 ghz,2 gb ram,no video card,intel 8 chipset(integrated) old system.Debian wheezy(using official repos).
I use xpdf which works fine with small files.But with some large files it takes some time to load and change pages the file i http://www.powergridindia.com/_layou..._Map_Final.pdf doesn't open at all.
the file opens show sth and hangs.why?
And i want to build a fast sys with my pc.
plz tell me whether the following i use are correct or can be improved.I use
1.icewm xfe lightdm 2.xfburn 3.vlc 4.gpicview 4.xchat 5.transmission deluge 6.uget 7.djview4 8.xchm 9.mcomix
10.libreoffice(i use it because i think it has the most compatibility with ms office.is it true or not?i know it is slow.) 11.xpdf epdfview

The pdf that you mention is very very graphic intensive, so yea it does use a lot of resources. For me, it seems all pdf viewers on linux, excluding acrobat reader, have the same issue. Load a pdf with lots and lots of images, make a quick scroll down, and the viewer gets a heart attack!

The above was opened with zathura and katarakt, under openbox, on a dual core e4500, 4GB ram, nvidia 9500 with the nvidia driver, and the "heart attack" was noticable.
