PDC20269 - Promise ultra133tx2

Hi all

I have a: Promise Ultra133tx2" ide-controller (chip: 20269).
I use Linux version 2.4.18-bf2.4 (Debian distribution)

How do I get this to work - I mean how do I get Linux to recognize this "extra" ide-controller, I'd like to get in touch with my DVD ?

Please help and thanks in advance.

ps. If I missed to mention some vital info, do tell, please. And I'll try to collect this missing info.

Me again, just to wrap-up.
I got the "unstable" version 2.4.21-1-686 (P4) from Debian.
And ALL my problems regarding: Promise Ulta133tx2" ctrl is gone.

Thanks to all
