pd-extended in squeeze wont open

recently installed jackd and pd-extended (pure data with extra stuff)

jack works but when i go into the gui and try to start pd-extended, nothing happens.

from another forum ive gathered that pasuspender is probably the culprit, so i tried

update-rc.d -f pasuspender remove, and it was indicated that this command was successful, but pd extended still will not start.

any thoughts?

Try running it from CLI and find the errors to cause it not to launch.
