package info please

i have a funny little problem i hope someone could help me with.

i want to apt-get update/upgrade my debian. i have the smallest version just about 200mb so almost no packages at all. so wlan doesnt even work.

the problem is that i cant connect to the net via cable because i am behind a firewall.
the thing is the administrator opened an ip address for me before but that was for wlan and i dont want to ask him again about 3 days later *shiver*

so all i want to know please is what packages i need for wlan to work so i can download it with windows burn it on cd mount it on the (wlan) pc to update and get a nice cd full of nice packages for the (cable) pc, and where to get them?
damn that sucks.

for further updates i think i have to find a better solution :D

no clue.. but i went to the website and
Quote:

3.1 What software do I require?

You need at least Linux kernel version 2.0.36 or later and pcmcia-cs version 3.0.9 or later. The latest Linux kernel can be obtained from http://www.kernel.org/ and the latest pcmcia-cs version from ftp://hyper.stanford.edu/ in /pub/pcmcia/.
