Other active Debian Forums others then this

Hello,

Can anybody recommend good Debain users forum that is active.
I remember when I used to have Fedora Core 3, I get lots of good support and help at http://www.fedoraforum.org/

Is there some kind of such forum for Debian Users.
I've seen forum at http://forums.debian.net/ but they are allmost dead.

Is there good Debian Forums around that are really active similary to Fedora One

you can try
irc.debian.org #debian

server is Freenode

The people there are somewhat snotty at times, but they can usually help you get your issue resolved.

Have you tried the mailing lists?
http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/

Arstechnica's Linux Kung Fu forum, although not specific to any distro or *nix, has alot of knowledgeable Debian users:
http://episteme.arstechnica.com/eve/...frm/f/96509133

Linuxforums.org Debian Linux Help
Linuxforum.com Debian Linux Support

Of course the one here, where you started this thread, is pretty good also or so I have heard.

Good question. I was wondering the same thing.

What I'd also like is a good search feature. I've never learned how to find what I want without tons of useless (to me) chaff in the way. If I plug customized debian menu into google, I don't need 238,000 mostly useless responses. If I use quotes, I only get one response, also useless. Forum searches are no better, even if somewhat more limited. That's why I often post problems that will seem a bit redundant. I know you guys have already sorted it out, but I can't find your previous thread.

If you subscribe to it, yes you will. Thats why I use gmane or google groups to view the lists instead. You can still send questions or responses to the list though.

I tend to use the search function within google-groups to find specific threads in the Debian-User mailing list. It works pretty well for me.
