Unhappy Oracle installation Problem

This term we must study Oracle and database foundation.And I downloaded Oracle for x86linux to install it.But each time I ran the installer,it said that the OS is not redhat or suse,and installation abort.I want to ask someone to help me solve this problem.Please.
And my computer is debian os ,1.7G CPU,384M memory.That's all!

I tried too, to install it ( I had really big problem) , few years ago , I couldn't , so I continue to use the mysql ( it 's free , included in the packages, ) !!!
are you really need it !! you can completly replace the oracle by mysql !!!
of course if you have the choice to choose you data base manager !!

If I have choice,I will use mysql instead of it.But in the teaching ,the teacher uses oracle
