Question optimum kernel for a 900MHz AMD Athlon?

I know this is a total question...but I figure this is the best way to find out if my gut feeling is correct.

Would the optimum kernel for a 900 MHz AMD Althon system be one of the "*-k7" Debian kernel images? Thanks for your thoughts.

the k6 is called "k6"
the k7 is everything with a name and 32bit
the k8 is everything 64 bit.

so yes, it has a name and its 32 bit so its a k7
