Oops.. how do packages work again...?

Hey, I took a Linux hiatus (distracted by the amount of games Windows has to offer.. don't kill me, please!), but I'm back. Unfortunatly, I failed to document the little time I spent learning the little bit I learned of Linux. I'm guessing there are some new Debian packages by now, but I have forgotten the commands for downloading and installing said packages. Thankfully I already have the servers specified. Anyway, can anyone give me the two commands I'm looking for? Thanks in advance.
