nvidia installing problem


hello

i have start configureing my nvidia readig int his forum

but my some command is not working

i have give apt-get update

and still this is not working ? should i do

run aptitude and use / key to search for kernel-headers, if the first item brought up isn't kernel-headers-2.4.27-1-386 then use \ to search again. install using + and then g.

Or apt-get install kernel-headers-2.4.27-1-386 should work too.

i am download kernel-source-2.4.27 2.4.27-8

is ti work or not lz let me know

If you didn't build your own kernel, then you probably need the kernel-headers package... Just try it. It says you need kernel headers so get kernel headers

I have Nvidia drivers also... had to get kernel headers

i can't i have search many time with kernel-headers -2.4.1-386 and only 2.4.1 and 2.4

at last i have found kernel-headers-2.4-386

then i install it and try to install nvidia but it still says me that locate the kernel source.


i just move from slackware to debian
i can't set up my nvidia

i have install debian by the net cd 101 mb
from net

tell me ? should i do

if i wanna use 2.4 latest (i do not eman 2.6 2.6 has prob with nv and have to give patch to fix it)

i can't find the 2.4.27-1-386 headers or source

help me

solve after install kernel 2.4.27-2 686 and same version header and link in lib
