ntdpate installed but not running?

Hello,

I have installed ntpdate + done dpkg-reconfigure tzdata.

When I start the machine, I need always to do :
Code:
# ntpdate-debian
in order to refresh the time.

To keep preventing doing this each time, would you know what can be checked or done?

thank you

That program is only ever run on demand to set the clock at the time it is run.

If you want something that will constantly track and adjust the clock then add the package ntp or openntpd, either of which gives you a Network Time Protocol daemon to monitor the clock.
