no sound, the card is detected


HI,
on my new laptop HP,
I tryed debian 5.0, ubuntu 9.04 , linuxMint 7,

the sound is not running on all, while the hardware is detected , the sound indicator is green correct, When I pla$

here is the lspci :

00:1a.2 USB Controller: Intel Corporation 82801I (ICH9 Family) USB UHCI Controller #6 (rev 03)

1. Make sure your sound is not set to mute by checking the settings with a mixer.
2. Make sure you (your userid) is a member of the audio group.
3. Look at the output of
Code:
lsmod | grep snd
to make sure your driver (snd-hda-intel) is loaded.
