no sound on laptop
 
I had been trying to get my the sound to work for so long, I have an ALC880 on my Acer TravleMate 4062 WLMi, I tried Debian Sarge with 2.6.15-5 and now I am using Debian Etch, with 2.6.15-5, I am not sure what I did wrong or what I didn't do, but please, please somebody help to get my sound to work on my Debian laptop, that would be greatly appreciated, thanks first

apt-get install alsa-base alsa-utils && alsaconf

Also, try running "alsamixer" to make sure your levels aren't muted.
