no $VIMRUNTIME set

[FIXED]Hi,
I just wanted to change my vim colorscheme.
The helpfile tells me to look for colorschemes in $VIMRUNTIME/colors.
That variable is not set on my system and I found no..[EDIT]
...
/usr/share/vim/vim63/colors
Just didn't look.

sorry.

YEAH 'think before you type', I know

[another EDIT] Just found out: the variable is only known inside vim.
