New Vista home premium laptop cannot access Debian Lenny

Well, I am back again. My new Vista Home Premium x64 laptop cannot view or browse shares on my Debian-Lenny PC.

Steps I have tried:
1. All hosts files have been updated to include the new laptop.
2. I have turned Windows firewall off on the new laptop.
3. Uninstalled firestarter on the Debian PC. (Just in case)
4. All other PC's on the LAN can browse all shares on the Debian PC.
5. All Windows PC's can browse the new laptops shares.
6. The new laptop can browse all Windows shares of the other PC's on the LAN.
7. From Debian I can browse all shares on all PC's including the new laptop.

What have I overlooked? How do I get my new laptop to see the Debian PC?

Linux Newbie.

I can even by hostname. I just don't get what I have done wrong.

/edit 2
smbclient -L //<ServerIP> -U <UserName>
This works too, so I don't know what else to try.

I changed from my D-link DI-624 to my new D-Link DIR-655 and everything works now! I can even use a remote x connection from the vista laptop.

Wow, I can not believe I wasted so many hours on a flaky router!

Thank you for looking!
