Question New linux-image update fails

My current uname -a output is:

Linux cdcollection 2.6.18-5-486 #1 Thu Aug 30 01:46:45 UTC 2007 i586 GNU/Linux

According to "Software Updates", the new kernel version is 2.6.18.dfsg.1-13etch3. Clicking "Install updates" has the following result:

E: /var/cache/apt/archives/linux-image-2.6.18-5-486_2.6.18.dfsg.1-13etch3_i386.deb: failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1)

This update fails to install. How do I fix this?

Verify the integrity of the package by checking it's md5 and sha1 sums and comparing to the web site.
