New fresh Stable system...
Hi All,
Communicating now from a Debian Stable system. After countless issues with a buggy Testing installer and the resulting os, finally went back to Stable. I've used Testing for 2 years with no problems but since 5/09, too much trouble. I've recently used Linux Mint out of frustration and found it beautiful and easy to use, but noticeably slow compared to Debian- bloated. Went back to Lenny today and all is well- feel back at home. I think instead of upgrading, I'll try pinning Testing and Unstable as need be for the time. After trying Ubuntu and Mint, my love affair with Debian continues. Thoughts? -ab |
that sid-installer for testing should work:
http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/da...t/i386/iso-cd/ imo lenny is cool, but instead of pinning from testing and unstable i`d go for the lenny-backports. |
I have never had a problem with the Sid installer...been running and reinstalling SID several times on several different boxes...
