I know this is an old topic of sorts, but every time I attempt to run the Quake 4 demo I get an error message.
Code:
./quake4.x86: error while loading shared libraries:
libSDL-1.2.so.0: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory
I have an AMD64 Athlon 64 3200+ and am running the 2.6.16-2-amd64-k8 kernel.
I have a Gigabyte Nvidia 7600GT with the 1.0.87456-3+2.6.16-18 drivers packaged by Debian.
I read somewhere that, if I install or place the 32bit version of libSDL-1.2.so.0 in the /usr/local/games/quake4-demo folder, it might work.
Two questions - will it work? And how do I get that 32bit file/package/whatever and place it in the folder?
Yes, I did google a little bit and didn't find any good answers. Sorry if this is too simplistic.
