Netflix quit working

My older HP computer is running the Q4OS Debian distribution and did an update yesterday, now Netflix doesn't work on Chrome or Firefox. when I try to start a show I get the audio and a light grey screen. No error messages. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

All we know is what you told us, which is you have some version of Q4OS and something now "doesn't work". We can't guess as to anything based on that...any errors/messages?? Tried to start the browser from the command-line to see if there are any messages that come up?? Any plugins loaded that didn't get updated? What kind of hardware?? ANYTHING??

I added what I know to the original question.

Don't edit your posts, as all it does is make it confusing for others to follow; add details as the thread progresses. Again, you don't tell us the version of your OS, or anything about your hardware. You also don't seem to acknowledge the advice about starting the browser from a terminal to see if there are any messages that arise, or say anything about any plugins you may have.

Did you try any steps from Netflix?

My Operating system is Q4OS, which is a Debian distribution. I opened chrome through the terminal and got zero error messages. I have the Netflix 1080P extension installed. The netflix steps made no difference. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo 3.Ghz processor with 4 gigs of DDR 3 ram.

Right...and you were asked what version you're running.

If this was working and now it isn't, there's not much we can tell you since there is *NOTHING* in the way of diagnostics. If all we have is "gray screen" and "doesn't work"...not much to go on. Unless you updated Chrome and Firefox too, there isn't much we can tell you.

Version 4.19 Chrome and firefox were updated as well. Netflix audio works fine, all I get for graphics is a grey screen.

Sorry, but we've been playing guessing games with this. rokytnji told you the *VERSION* of Chrome he has that works...no idea what you're meaning wiht "no such file or directory" in this context.

AGAIN: what versions of Firefox and Chrome do you have?? Not something like "updated as well"...get the actual versions and post them. You were also asked about your hardware and aside from the vague description, we don't know. How about a brand/model?? What kind of video hardware (nVidia? Intel? Radeon?)?? Do any OTHER videos play?? YouTube?? We can't keep guessing..you have to provide details.
