Question NetBeans and debian ?

Hi all,

I downloaded NetBeans with JDK 1.5 and installed it. The problem is when I want to start a new project it has only one option, one with the existing "Ant Script". I think there should be more than that. So what's wrong with that ? I'm going nuts here Is it the issue with debian? or am I doing something wrong?
Any help is appreciated.

Yes I have it installed, but I need visual editor, I've seen there is some kind of plugin for it, but I don't know if it's avaliable for the eclipse version from sid?
