MySQL restart script?

Hi all. I'm very inexperienced with Linux, I just know some basics... Well, I'm hosting a The Specialists game server (A Half-Life mod), but one of the plugins I'm running sometimes freezes the server, shutting down MySQL. So, what I need is a script that does something like 'mysqladmin ping' once a minute, if it can't ping the MySQL, it will attempt to start it. I have very very little experience with scripting, so I'm not sure how to go forward. I'd like to solve this problem fast, as we have to manually restart the MySQL every time it crashes, and when we're not able to do that, the server stays off for longer periods.

I hope anyone is able to help with this issue.

Thanks, seems to be just what I need. I'll try it out.
