About half the times I use Mozilla, it ends up freezing while loading a web page or downloading an email or switching between windows. This is very annoying. I can kill it and open it up again, but that's no good.

I'm using Mozilla 1.0. The package info on "About Mozilla" says: Mozilla Debian Package 1.0.0-0.woody.1. The package version is "2:1.0.0-0.woody.1".

KDE is Release 2.2.2
My kernel is 2.4.22

Does anyone else have this problem?

Does anyone know what I should do to fix this?

I think this version is the latest Debian Stable. Should I dump it and just get 1.5?

I would suggest: yes.

Chances are it's a bug that has been fixed in newer versions. You shouldn't worry about what the latest stable Debian package is - the important part is what does Mozilla say is their latest version?

Get the latest stable mozilla (stable from Mozilla's point of view, not Debian's) and install it. If you're still having problems, we'd be happy to help you through them.

Thanks for your response. I'll go ahead and upgrade then. I'll probably upgrade my KDE too while I'm at it.
