Are you sure that the device was plugged and the problem was apparent when you posted that output?
Run this command then plug the stick in and post the resulting output: Code:
udevadm monitor |

Thanks, |
Does this work:
Code:
# umount -R /media/CANON_DC You could drop to a TTY before plugging the stick and mount it from there to prevent your desktop from "helping" you. |
The folder /media/username/CANON_DC does not exist !
What is TTY ?? Thanks, |

Press <Ctrl>+<Alt>+F2 (at the same time) to access it. Use <Ctrl>+<Alt>+F7 to get back to your desktop. |

I get the same error that the /dev/sdc1 is already mounted or /media/canon (folder I created) is busy ! BTW , When I plug the stick under TTY , I get the following message : Quote:

Can you browse the contents of media/canon?
I'm running out of ideas here -- this is exactly the reason why I avoid fancy desktop environments and automounters. You should probably put "KDE" in the title (if that is what you are using) to attract the attention of fellow KDE users. |
It is empty .
I use Gnome . |

I'm stumped here, hopefully somebody else will be able to help you better. |
Thank you any way .
